Ridgeline was founded on the belief that an exclusive focus on distribution and administration of public funds fosters the culture necessary to best support LGIPs, their Boards, and their participants. We believe that a narrow focus allows us to provide service and support for local governments free from distraction.
Local government finance directors and treasurers bear substantial responsibility as prudent stewards of taxpayers’ dollars. Whether you are a rural fire protection district, a large urban county, an LGIP Board of Trustees or anything in between, the team at Ridgeline understands the importance of prompt and knowledgeable service. Our commitment to building trust with LGIP participants is not theoretical, it is what we do every day. We believe in local, in-person service to the programs we serve.
Ridgeline’s chief objective is to be an extension of participants’ staff. We help evaluate the suitability of investing in an LGIP for prospective participants, maintain trust in the LGIP through exemplary service and continuing education for existing participants, and for both prospective and existing participants, serve as an accessible and prompt investment advisory resource.

Most public fund managers operate across multiple states and are required to report to shareholders or private equity firms.
We are independent and fiduciary-led. We do not spread investments across national pools or chase returns for outside investors. We work only in Colorado and only with its public institutions.
Our in-state focus allows us to offer you the committed attention you deserve and the boots-on-the-ground insights that broader firms simply cannot offer.

MEET THE TEAM
Cory Gebel, CFATM
Managing Director
Cory brings over 25 years of institutional fixed income experience to his work and is proud of his deep background in designing investment strategies tailored to local government cash flows, policies, and objectives. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a CFA Charterholder and Investment Advisor Representative. Cory is passionate about helping local governments navigate a complex market environment with a disciplined focus on preserving principal and ensuring sufficient diversification. He is a well-known and respected public market thought leader who speaks frequently at industry events and conferences.
Brent Turner, CTPTM
Managing Director
Brent’s background includes significant local government investment pool and investment advisory experience in the state of Texas, Colorado, and California as well as a decade of public sector service in both policy and investment management roles. He is committed to serving as a knowledgeable resource to local governments to assist them in optimizing their liquidity management strategies according to their specific cash flows and investment objectives. Brent received both his BA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and holds the Certified Treasury Professional designation.
Evan Piper
Associate, Advisory Services
Evan’s experience is rooted in the banking and finance sectors, with five years spent in commercial lending, digital solutions, and relationship management. As a Colorado native and Investment Advisor Representative, he is passionate about the community he calls home and is dedicated to serving its local governments with knowledgeable, tailored guidance to support their investment and liquidity goals. Evan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from Colorado Mesa University and a Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University.
Brett Chikowski
Chief Operating Officer
Brett brings a diverse and deep experience in marketing and business operations to Ridgeline. He began his career in investment management marketing with Sterling Capital Management out of Charlotte, NC, and continued it after business school at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Austin, TX. Before Ridgeline, Brett co-founded, built, and subsequently sold a digital marketing agency. He earned his BA in economics from Davidson College and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Scott Russomano
Director of EventS
Scott Russomanno brings over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, marketing consultant, and nonprofit leader, with a strong focus on event strategy, stakeholder engagement, and client experience. He has led the planning and execution of large-scale events and initiatives designed to foster meaningful connections, strengthen partnerships, and deliver high-impact experiences. Scott’s background in leadership development and organizational growth allows him to approach each project with both strategic insight and attention to detail. He is passionate about creating environments where relationships thrive and organizations can effectively engage their communities and partners.
